For those who love cross-country skiing, the municipality of Arjeplog is the perfect place. There are nice and well-maintained cross-country trails for both classic skiing and skating in the urban area of Arjeplog as well as out in some of the larger villages. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature along mountains, valleys, lakes, and streams while you glide along. There are also 1600 km of well-prepared snowmobile trails, which for skiers is also a way out into the fantastic and powerful nature of the Arjeplogsfjällen.
In Arjeplog there are two illuminated ski tracks, Djuptjärn’s illuminated tracks of 1 km, 2.5 kilometers, 5 km, and 20 km, and Öberget’s illuminated tracks of 2.5 kilometers. At Djuptjärn there is also a technical loop with a slope where you can practice jumping, as well as a biathlon facility. In the village of Laisvall there are illuminated ski tracks of 1 km and 2.5 km and in Mellanström there are illuminated ski tracks of 2.5 kilometers.
