A-Event is the company that, besides fishing experiences, also offers a unique culinary experience in Swedish Lapland: The “Edible Country” table. The Edible Country is a campaign initiated by Visit Sweden, in collaboration with Bookatable. The concept aims to turn Swedish nature into a gourmet restaurant. There are seven tables around the country: In Skåne, Småland, the west coast, the Stockholm archipelago, Värmland, Jämtland and in Arjeplog.
The menu for the table is created in collaboration with four Michelin chefs, and is comprised of ingredients that can be found in the Arjeplog nature. As a guest, you decide wether you wish to pick your own ingredients. If not, A-event will provide you with a ready to go basket with all the ingredients you’ll need. After that, you cook your meal yourselves under the sky, for an unforgettable culinary experience.
The table is placed at beautiful Skeppsholmen – a central but secluded islet in Arjeplog, overlooking lake Hornavan and the mountain Galtisbouda. Read more about the table and how to make your reservation here.
A-event also arranges other activities. In the summer they offer half-day trolling fishing with coffee and a snack, or a full-day event with lunch. In winter you can try net fishing under the ice, or shorter or longer ice-fishing tours.
