National Day Celebration

Programme for National Day, 6 June
A warm welcome to this year’s National Day celebrations on Saturday 6 June! We will gather for a festive ceremony at Arjeplog Church, followed by refreshments and summer information at the Silver Museum. The celebrations are a joint event organised by Arjeplog Municipality, the Silver Museum and Arjeplog Parish.

Programme

13:00 – 14:00 | Formal ceremony at Arjeplog Church

Welcome: Our hosts Sofia Flinkfeldt and Lisa Angberg welcome everyone.
Speech: Isak Utsi.
Music: Ludwig Wetterberg and Martin Lestander perform an atmospheric medley of folk music.
National Day speech: Åsa Jonsson.
Arjeplog Citizen of the Year: Tribute and award presentation by Isak Utsi and Åsa Jonsson.
National anthem: Performed by Annica Lundström.
Welcome to new Swedish citizens: Isak Utsi.
Song: Annica Lundström.

Closing: Sofia and Lisa round off the ceremony and welcome everyone to the Silver Museum.
From around 14:00, the celebrations continue at the Silver Museum. We’ll be serving refreshments at the Silver Museum after the ceremony. The Tourist Information will be on hand to provide information about activities this summer.
